She is driven by a deep passion for helping animals and is committed to improving the quality of life for her patients through compassionate care, medicine, and surgery.
She enjoys the variety that general clinical practice offers, including the challenges of managing chronic diseases in senior pets. Her special interests lie in soft tissue surgery and dental surgery, areas where she continues to pursue ongoing education.
Dr Kirat also tries to dedicate time to charity fieldwork, volunteering her surgical skills to support animal welfare initiatives – something that she has always aimed to make a part of her veterinary journey. Her most recent volunteer trip was to Sri Lanka to assist with the medical care of street dogs.
Outside of work, she enjoys relaxing with a good cup of coffee, travelling, catching up with loved ones, and caring for her cheeky rescue pup, “Kulfi” – who keeps her on her toes and reminds her daily why she loves what she does.
