She firmly believes that it is not just about treating illness—it’s about being a support system for both the animals and their owners during stressful and emotional times. She prioritises making animals feel better by aiding in their swift recovery, and strives to help them live healthier and happier. Her clients have found her reassuring and have expressed their gratitude for her guidance through difficult moments.
What excites her most about veterinary medicine is the growing potential for integrating natural healing approaches alongside conventional care. She is especially interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), particularly acupuncture, as a gentle and holistic way to support animal health. Whether it’s managing chronic pain, improving mobility, or supporting recovery, she actively works towards the day where she can include acupuncture as an integral part of her treatment plans, offering a powerful, natural complement to traditional treatments.
In her free time, Dr Valerie likes to attend pilates, do weightlifting and dine out with her partner, friends and dogs.
